This is our first blog. I, Anita, will probably be the main blogger, but Al may pop in from time to time to share his thoughts.
Since our paradigm shift in 2015 when the Lord/Yehovah called us to go to Jordan, we have spent much time in researching why He would do so. What is it about Jordan that a believer in Jesus/Yeshua needs to know? What we have discovered is the motive for this blog.
We grew up in typical Pentecostal churches---Al in the Assemblies of God and I in the Pentecostal Holiness---and were taught the denominational position about the end times. As we grew up, married, and entered the pastoral ministry in the Assemblies of God, Al taught what he had been taught by others. Over the years, our understanding started changing slowly. Throughout our married life, our most deeply-held religious beliefs began to shift as we studied the Bible more closely: beliefs about God, His Word, prophecy, and the end times before Messiah’s return to Earth to gather the elect.
Our beliefs also changed as to who the elect are. . .and who we are.
We eventually left the pastorate, the pre-tribulation rapture theory of our past, and unscriptural traditions. (See the page titled "Who We Are" for more clarity.) We never left Elohim (the Supreme God) or His Son (Yeshua, our Savior). In fact, that relationship is closer than ever before. We are still filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues/languages.
However, our walk has taken on a decidedly Hebraic Biblical flavor. We see nowhere in Scripture that the Torah was done away with. We delight in the great blessing of Sabbath each seventh day, as well as the seven annual festivals of Yehovah:
· Pesach (Passover)
· Matzah (Unleavened Bread)
· Shavuot (Pentecost)
· Yom Teruah (Day of Trumpets)
· Yom Kippurim (Day of Atonements)
· Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles)
· Sh’mini Atzeret (The Eighth Day)
Each of these gives us insight into the plan of salvation for the whole world---not just salvation from sin and death, but deliverance in the end of days. They tell of His first trip to Earth in the first four and His second trip in the last three. We will speak of these in a later blog.
As you read at the top of this page, the Bible says there is one place in the world that will be safe from Antichrist---the Man of Sin. Daniel 11:3 describes him as “a mighty king… that shall rule with great dominion, and do according to his will.”
Daniel 11:40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he (Antichrist) shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.
Daniel 11:41 He shall enter also into the glorious land (Israel), and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.
Daniel 11:42 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
Edom, Moab, and the chiefs of Ammon are modern-day Jordan.
This blog is dedicated to discussing what we have discovered in our research about Jordan’s vital role in the end of days---the greatest ingathering the world will ever witness.
It is not our intent to try to overtly change anyone’s beliefs. I have read that 65% of those who identify as evangelical Christians ascribe to a Dispensational Pre-trib Rapture position. Our purpose is not to debate those who hold this belief and are comfortable in that understanding. Majority has never determined truth. We are here for seekers who are willing to change if they discover their belief was not correct. Throughout the last 25 years of our spiritual walk, Yehovah has simply intersected our paths with those seekers. All we do is answer questions based on what we have learned.
Having said that, we admit we have erased our ingrained theology many times once we discovered new understanding. None of us has the whole truth, but we should be seeking to know as much of the truth as we can discover and be willing to change.
Polls show that most believers of a pre-tribulation rapture base their belief upon what their pastor told them, not what they have prayerfully studied themselves. This is primarily an American Christian belief.
Yeshua had much to say to the religious leaders of His day about the traditions of men. Something we learned early in this walk is---Tradition is the greatest enemy of truth.
